Designed to offer children the opportunity to engage all of their senses, this vertical garden will draw pollinators to the food plants that the children will grow and snack on while they are at school. Eventually, insect hotels and mason bees will be integrated into this school yard, too. This was such a fun garden to create!

This 20’ long living wall stretches through the hallway of this Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired mid-century home. The profusion of plants in this vertical garden balance the elements of stone, water, metal, fire, and so much wood in this sunken living room. Clean air in there!

This piece is part of a collaboration with artist Zoe Osenbach for a show called ‘Wild Order’ that opened in May 2018 in Seattle. Zoe takes photos and transfers them onto wood panels; I then filled the frames with mosses, lichens, stones, and wood. This show was about humans and nature… human nature.
